The length of the neck, the circumference of the neck, the head circumference and the bodyweight all go together.

The decrease in the length of the neck causes increases in the neck circumferences, and at the same time, it causes weight gain in the neck, face area, upper back and upper chest.

a) A decrease in the length of the neck results in an increase in the circumference of the neck.

b) An increase in the circumference of the neck results in an increase in the head circumference.

An increase in the curvature of the cervical spine alone or combined with an increase in the curvature of the thoracic spine and/or lumbar spine results in a decrease in the length of the neck.

It is wrong to believe that the short neck is caused by obesity.

Obesity (excessive weight gain) is caused by poor posture (standing, walking and sitting posture) and poor walking and running gait.
